The countertop now boasts a sophisticated slate finish, and with darker color options, the kitchen feels more inviting than ever. In terms of features, you’ll find a 42-liter compressor fridge with a salad basket, a flexible worktop design, ample cupboard space, and a stainless steel sink-stove combination with two gas burners and running water—everything you need for a comfortable camping adventure.
**STOWAGE COMPARTMENT**
Often overlooked, this clever storage area is integrated into the narrow window above the fridge. It’s perfect for storing spices, herbs, or any small essentials you need at hand. Slide it to the rear to reveal an additional window, allowing you to enjoy just a little more of that beautiful view outside!
**KITCHEN CUPBOARDS**
The two sliding doors to the kitchen cupboards feature updated, easy-to-use catches—a refreshing upgrade from the trickier locks of the previous models. The cupboards can be accessed while the lower bed is extended; just remember to keep your coffee cups on the top shelf for easy reach in the morning!
**FLEXIBLE WORKTOP**
The concealed internal table slides along the rail and can be extended with a fold-down table leg to create a prep area, a dining table, or the base for a fierce game of UNO! Use the convenient strap that attaches to the headrest to free up floor space while keeping the table stable and accessible.
**SINK & STOVE**
Flipping up the glass countertops reveals a two-burner gas hob and a sink with a removable washing-up bowl. With a piezo ignition switch, there’s no need to search for matches, and gas is provided at no extra cost when you hire a VW California from us.
**42-LITER FRIDGE**
The 42-liter fridge is a compact marvel, usable while stationary or on the go. It’s spacious, energy-efficient, and top-loading so you can access it easily, no matter the bench seat’s position.
